I’m a dairy farmer’s son from Anglesey having been brought up on a dairy, beef and sheep farm. We stopped milking 8 years ago as my brother wanted to concentrate more on the tourism side of the business. I am married to Rhian and we have a daughter, Menna, who’s 18 years old and hoping to study at John Moores University, Liverpool in September. She loves playing football for Bangor Ladies and has been nominated for best young player in the North Wales league this year, as well as having been selected for the Welsh Ladies College football team. Much of our weekends are spent watching her playing football. I keep a small flock of pedigree Charollais ewes. This is my switch off from work – if that’s possible!

After leaving school I worked at my local vets for two years starting an NVQ in animal care with Myerscough Collage. I then moved on to a large riding school doing NVQs in horse care and riding alongside my BHS exams 1-4 completing my groom and yard manager’s certificate. I continued to work there for nine years running the yard and the BHS exams. I then spent a stud season at Twemlows looking after competition horses.  After seven years of self-employed milk recording, I started my Area Service Manager role with NMR in 2018 and then progressed to Senior ASM in 2024. Outside of work I help my partner run his agricultural contracting business. I enjoy travel and having friends and family for dinner.

I left school and started working within the agricultural industry straight away as I had always had a very strong interest in the industry from a young age. I started at a livestock market as an admin clerk, then moved on to work for NFU after a few years and then became a Farm Secretary on a large dairy farm estate before joining NMR in 2021 years ago as an Area Coordinator. I am now the Area Service Manager for North Wales. Outside of work I am involved with Young Farmers and also enjoy taking my dog, Beti for a walk on the beach or cooking for friends and family.
