Johne’s disease is caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium Avium subspecies paratuberculosis (MAP). Infection results in a thickening of the intestinal wall, which prevents the animal from successfully absorbing nutrients and water through the gut.

IBR (Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis) is a highly contagious disease that is associated with abortion and respiratory signs. IBR is caused by a bovine Herpes virus and can be transmitted via nasal and/or oral secretions or bull semen.

Leptospirosis is blood infection caused by a bacteria, Leptospira which affects both cattle and humans causing flu-like symptoms, making it zoonotic. Transmission of Leptospirosis in cattle is usually through the urine of an infected animal.

Neospora caninum is a parasite that causes Neosporosis. It is known to cause abortion in cattle.

Liver Fluke is a parasitic infection causing productivity losses in cattle. The infection risks are higher in the late summer and autumn during mild, wet temperatures.
