National Milk Records (NMR) is the leading supplier of milk recording services in the UK, providing management information on individual cow's performance in terms of milk quality, yield and fertility. It is acknowledged by the industry that NMR is the market leader in the provision and support of dairy software in Great Britain.
NMR has a vacancy for a Customer Services Operator working in our Harrogate office. As part of a multi-skilled Customer Services team, this role focuses on telephone communications with internal and external customers, resolving queries to a satisfactory conclusion. The role also includes of a variety of administration type tasks to blend in with the inbound and outbound telephone calls.
Skills Required -
The successful candidate must have:-
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, and the ability to keep calm and professional when dealing with challenging callers.
- Good planning and organising skills to manage tasks during busy call periods. The successful candidate must be able to work on their own initiative to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Good Team work skills and flexibility; balancing workload within the team and assisting other team members during busy periods. They should be able learn quickly and be willing to learn new tasks as required.
Previous experience in telephone Customer Service role would be an advantage. The candidate would need to have good IT skills and be confident in use of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
The position is based in Harrogate.

Software Support Technician Harrogate
NMR has a vacancy for a Software Support Technician in its Customer Services Department based in Harrogate.
The department plays a central role in supporting and training our dairy farmer customers who increasingly are turning to computer systems to improve on farm efficiency.
The post involves supporting customers and staff with NMR computer software and data handling, via a range of communication media.
A key aspect of the work includes providing software training to our customers via the web, on a one to one basis.
Training will be given, however candidates should be able to demonstrate a high level of IT skills, including software installation and data handling.
The role requires excellent communication and organisational skills.
Although knowledge or experience of the dairy industry and or customer service would be helpful, more importantly we are looking for someone who has enthusiasm, is a team player, is a quick learner and has a genuine wish to succeed.
Hours of work are a 37 per week, Monday to Friday.
