Software Support Team Leader

As part of the NMR Group of Companies, we require a Full Time Software Support Team Leader located in our Harrogate office. The Software Support Team Leader will be responsible for leading a team of staff handling enquiries for NMR Group customers and colleagues and the wider industry requiring technical help with a variety of software packages. The team leader is responsible for all aspects of staff development and performance management, as well as ensuring appropriate staff/skill sets are available at all open times. Enquiries will be via all media channels, telephone, email or written. The enquiries must be handled in a professional customer focused manner.

The role is varied and may cover general customer services calls and some administration tasks.  All details of the customer conversations will be logged on the NMR CRM system to maintain an accurate account of what has been agreed and copying colleagues for actions required. 

The team leader will need to have a hands on approach and is expected to develop a high level of knowledge on all products supported by the software support team, to both support staff as well as when needed handle customer calls personally.
 

As a Software Support Team Leader you will:

  • To be responsible via the team for the support of all NMR software products.
  • To manage the team, including performance management, provide leadership to staff, mentoring of colleagues.
  • To ensure customer support is of the highest standard and an example is shown to colleagues.
    To ensure all calls are logged on CRM and report on trends, when requested.
    To develop new working practices for software support as required, for new services.

Information Processor – Maternity Cover

As part of the NMR Group of Companies, we require a Full Time Information Processor located in our Harrogate office. The role involves processing information from a range of sources, predominantly from NMR’s dairy farm customers from across the UK. This can be raw data to be entered into NMR in house systems through to the review of farm data quality for third parties including vets, supermarkets and AI companies.

 

The output from this role in the form of management information is used by NMR customers to manage their herds more effectively and the wider industry to evaluate dairy farm production.

 

The role also includes the maintenance of the national bull register, enrolling new customers and assisting customers and field staff to use NMR data recording systems.
The dairy industry operates 365 days a year and this role works on a rolling 4 on 4 off rota basis across 7 days a week. 

 

As an Information Processor you will:

  • To process customer data and information via NMR s in house systems.
  • To review customer data to identify and correct errors.
  • To work with colleagues to process customer information within deadlines.
  • To help customers with all aspects of milk recording data collections via NMR Herdcompanion.

NML Laboratory Team Leaders x 2

As part of the NMR Group of Companies, National Milk Laboratories requires a Laboratory Team Leader for a vacancy at its Four Ashes site.  This is a full time position and the successful candidate will be required to work five days a week which may include a weekend rota.

 
As a Team Leader your duties will include:

  • To take responsibility for the registering, testing and result entry of laboratory technicians involved in the registering and testing of samples for the Microbiology and Disease Laboratory to published Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and working practices during the dayshift.

  • To take line management responsibility for laboratory technicians and Capper and Washer Operatives employed in the Laboratory.

  • To assist and support the Laboratory Managers in the smooth running if the Wolverhampton Laboratory Operation.

  • To take responsibility for the training of laboratory technicians in any amendments to existing SOP’s and the introduction of new testing methods.

  • To ensure the quality of customer communications (verbal or written) are of the highest standard.

Night Shift Laboratory Supervisor –Hillington


As part of the NMR Group of Companies, we require a Night Shift Laboratory Supervisor located in our Hillington Laboratory. The night shift laboratory supervisor role will be challenging and exciting.  It will encompass a wide range of skills such as, excellent communicator, excellent organiser, and have an excellent attention to detail to ensure we offer a high quality service which is efficient.  We are looking for a candidate who can lead by example and support the business in being the market leader in this area.
 

As a Night Shift Supervisor your duties will include:

  • Working a 7-nights-on-7-nights-off shift pattern from 9pm to 7.30am inclusive of weekends and bank holidays.
  • To lead a team of highly skilled technicians to ensure the timely throughput of samples from receipt to reporting.
  • Carry out testing such as antibiotic, compositional quality and hygienic quality.
  • To ensure that your team adhere to published working practices and quality standards, and train them in any procedural changes.
  • To take direction from the Laboratory Manager to ensure the smooth running of the laboratory.
  • Computer based element to the role with the creation of certificates and use of software to run instruments.
  • Excellent organisational skills are required.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure the accurate reporting of results.
  • Ensure that available equipment operates to maximum efficiency.
  • Carry out any other duties that management may deem appropriate from time to time.
  • The role will report to the Laboratory Manager.

 AREA FIELD MANAGER - SOMERSET
 

As part of the NMR Group of Companies, we require a Full Time Area Field Manager Tier 1 to cover the West/Mid Somerset.  The Area Field Manger will be responsible for effective service delivery within the area by ensuring a motivated, well trained and supported group of self-employed individuals to provide milk recording services to NMR customers. The role will also be responsible for the management of an employed Area Coordinator on a day to day basis. The AFM will work with the Customer Account Manager (CAM), providing effective co-operation and co-ordination of resource between the two roles which will ensure high quality service and continued business development in the area. Team working will be vital for the continued success of the area.

 

As an Area Field Manager Tier 1 you will undertake the following responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for the delivery and quality of service provided to the designated herds in the area.

  • To ensure and manage the retention of NMR customers

  • To effectively manage the self-employed milk recorders and samplers on a day to day basis.

  • To undertake recruitment and training of self-employed Individuals.

  • To manage and support the Area Coordinator on a day to day basis.

  • To undertake data recording where required.

  • To be responsible for data quality in the area.

  • To work closely with the Customer Account Manager (CAM) to ensure high quality service and continued business development.
    To undertake the promotion of new services as they are developed in the business.

  • To assist in additional projects as and when required

  • To maintain accurate and timely records on the Customer Relations System

  • To ensure the new herds are commenced in a timely manner

 To be an Area Field Manager Tier 1 you will be required to have the following Essential Skills:
  • A graduate, HND or equivalent in agriculture or allied discipline or relevant commercial experience

  • Practical farming experience and knowledge of the dairy industry

  • Good time management and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a flexible manner, adapting to new situations

  • Self-motivated with a positive, enthusiastic attitude

  • Valid current driving license

  • Ability to lead a team and ensure motivation and engagement

  • Ability to work effectively within a team and add value

  • Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy in work produced

  • Fully PC literate

CUSTOMER ACCOUNT MANAGER (CAM) - EAST MIDLANDS
 

As part of the NMR Group of Companies, we require a Full Time Customer Account Manager (CAM) to cover the East Midlands area. As a Customer Account Manager you will be responsible for business expansion and profitable promotion of NMR Group products and services within the area through the delivery of customer or non-customer visits. To manage the relationships with customers to ensure a strong rapport.  The Customer Account Manager will need to ensure a high quality of service is delivered and there is ongoing business development. Team working with the rest of the Field Team will be vital for the continued success of the area.
 

As Customer Account Manager you will undertake the following responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for the retention and development of NMR Group Services to the designated customers and non-customers in the area with a key focus on increasing spend

  • To manage all customer facing issues apart from recording service delivery on an ongoing basis

  • To maintain accurate and timely records of customer and non-customer contact on Customer Relationship system

  • To ensure the NMR profile is raised in whatever way is achievable and cost effective to the NMR Group
    To be responsible for building key industry partner links in the area in order to gain new business

JUNIOR HR BUSINESS PARTNER, FULL TIME, 37 HRPW

REPORTNG TO – GROUP HR MANAGER
As part of the NMR Group of Companies, we are recruiting for Full Time Junior HR Business Partner to join the HR team. The role will be based in our Head Office, Chippenham with travel to other sites as and when required. This role will be exciting yet challenging and encompass a wide variety of HR areas. We are looking for a dynamic and driven individual who will look to add significant value to the HR department and support the Group HR Manager in driving forward the HR people agenda.  The Junior HR Business Partner will cover various elements of HR to include being the first point of contact for all employee relations operational issues, where they will be providing advice and guidance to Line Managers, coordinating of recruitment both internally and externally, reviewing, undertaking and managing of group corporate training and supporting the Group HR Manager with the HR Strategy and any other key HR projects as and when required.
 

This role would suit a strong HR generalist who has had significant operational experience in a previous similar role and will be able to take ownership for areas of HR. The role will predominantly involve day to day hands on operational work as well as some involvement in the future strategic projects. They will need to be confident, ethical, passionate and driven with hands on experience of operational HR and the ability to carry out various tasks at the same time under pressure. They will need to be highly organised and proactive in their approach and be able to ensure consistency across the business.
 

This Junior HR Business Partner role also requires an individual with good IT literacy and ideally experience within the above mentioned areas. They will have a can do attitude with the ability to work within a team and independently. Within this role you will be privilege to highly sensitive information, therefore confidentiality and professionalism is of utmost importance.
Essential Key Skills required for this role are:

  • An ability to network and communicate
  • Ability to work within ateam and independently
  • Significant experience in a similar HR role of a minimum of 5 years
  • CIPD or degree equivalent
