Key CPD events for cattle vets: Johne’s surveillance & control

Published 25th August 2017

This autumn National Milk Records (NMR) is teaming up with key industry partners, including Dairy UK, the British Cattle Veterinary Association (BCVA), MyHealthyHerd (MHH) and IDEXX, to run a series of special CPD events for vets focusing solely on Johne’s disease in cattle.

At these events a number of recognised experts in this field will be sharing their knowledge and experience to help vets fulfil the objectives set out in phase II of the National Johne’s management plan.

The series of events are intended for those who have already completed the BCVA online training course and will be run on the assumption that all delegates are already a BCVA Johne’s accredited advisor.

This course will also look to strengthen the delegates understanding not just of the technical aspects of effective Johne’s control, but also be fully informed of the social and economic influences on decision making for the farmer.

The events are open to all cattle vets.  The course costs £70 plus VAT per delegate.

Venues are:
  • Wednesday 20th September 2017 – Mercure, Bowden Hall Hotel, Gloucester GL4 8ED
  • Thursday 21st September 2017 -The Castle Hotel, Taunton TA1 1NF
  • Wednesday 4th October 2017 - Carden Park Hotel, Chester CH3 9DQ
  • Thursday 5th October 2017 - Ribbey Hall, Preston PR4 2PR.
