Value-added is Milk Records theme for Agriscot
Milk recording company NMR is encouraging producers to visit its stand at Agriscot, Ingliston, Wednesday 19 November to find out more about new services now on offer - many of which are offered free of charge to its milk recording customers and producers whose bulk milk samples are tested through National Milk Laboratories at Hillington, near Glasgow or Wolverhampton.
Included in these new - and free - services is a texting service that informs producers immediately that their latest milk records were available for viewing - knocking 24 hours off the standard service. Another value added service that is free of charge to the majority of producers is the access of bulk milk tank results off NMR's Herd Companion web site.
Visitors to the stand will be invited to enter a prize draw. First prize is a hand-held PDA worth £150 that can be used to run NMR's Pocket Cow Manager. Producers can use this to collect cow data while around the farm and also access data on each cow.
Second prize is a £75 voucher to use against NMR's regular bulk milk testing and disease testing services and third prize is a 2009 Herd Management diary, worth £20.
The NMR stand at Agriscot is stand 102, close to the judging ring.
