Night Shift Laboratory Technician (Part Time)

National Milk Laboratories has a vacancy for a part time Night Shift Laboratory Technician at its Hillington site.  The laboratory is operational 365 days of the year.   The successful candidate for this position will be required to work a shift pattern of four nights on/ten nights off Wednesday to Saturday.  This is a varied role which requires excellent organisational skills.  The initial responsibilities of the role will be registering and testing samples scheduled for the services offered by NML and NMR, working in the Payment and Milk Recording Laboratory.  There will also be the requirement to work additional hours from time to time. A laboratory background or qualification would be preferable although full training will be provided.

Laboratory Technician (Day Shift)

National Milk Laboratories has a vacancy for a Laboratory Technician.  As a key member of the laboratory team the principle role will be involved in registering and analysing milk samples within the microbiology department.  The laboratory is operational 365 days of the year and the successful candidate will be required to work five days a week on a Saturday to Wednesday shift pattern.  The candidate is expected to have a Degree in Biological Science or relevant experience.

Temporary 6 month contract

Laboratory Technician Disease and Microbiology Laboratory, Hllington


National Milk Laboratories are looking for a Science Technician to work in its Disease and Microbiology Laboratory.  This vacancy is currently considered as temporary for a minimum of 6 months.


Applicant should ideally be experienced in both Microbiology and iElisa testing but experience in either field would be considered and with a proven record of dealing with a high volume of samples.  The role will include but not exclusive to Microbiology testing (TVC, Coli, PSY & Therms) iElisa testing for multiple diseases (BVD, Johnes, Lepto) and General laboratory duties.
