Top Quality Award for NMR
NMR customers can rest assured that their milk records are meeting the toughest quality scrutiny of any worldwide milk recording organisation. The company has recently been awarded the ICAR Certificate of Quality for Dairy Cattle Production Recording for the second time, which is unique in Europe. This involved a comprehensive independent audit that scrutinised NMR's recording process from collecting samples to delivering results.

ICAR quality certificates are issued every three years and the procedure alternates between a completed questionnaire evaluated by an independent overseas auditor and an on-site audit, again, by an independent foreign auditor. NMR and the Israel Cattle Breeders Association are the first milk recording organisations worldwide to be awarded the quality certificate a second time, following the revised ‘higher level' audit.
Quality is the core of ICAR activities and standards are constantly being revised - a move driven primarily by members who are keen to distinguish themselves and their services more clearly from those not meeting the ICAR quality marks.
Since the inception of ICAR quality certificates the whole process has become far more stringent in both the questions asked at the time of audit and the interrogation by the ICAR board. To meet and pass all sections is no mean feat and requires the highest standards in all areas including recorder training protocols, recording equipment specifications, data and statistical checks and identification of samples and results throughout the recording process.
