The MICROCHECK service will help you take the guess work out of milk quality management using new PCR technology for the detection of DNA in mastitis pathogens. In addition to the detection of mastitis pathogens, our Bacto Breakdown service uses traditional culture methods to assess levels of bacteria in the milk relating to high Bactoscan results in bulk samples.

Results can be reported by fax, post or email or through Micro Monitor on the Herd Companion website. If you require a username and password for Herd Companion, please contact NMR customer services on 0844 7255567. PCR results are usually available the same day that the sample reaches the laboratory. Culture results are available within five days of the sample reaching the laboratory.

With a signed permission form, results can be faxed to the consulting veterinary surgeon for more detailed, farm specific interpretation.
