Accreditation of BVD tests offers Scottish producers cost effective options

National Milk Laboratories range of tests for the cattle disease Bovine Viral Diarrhoea (BVD) has recently gained accreditation from UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Services). The services, on offer from NML's Glasgow site, offer British beef and dairy producers a range of tests on tissue, blood and milk samples.

Eight weeks to enter for "Dairy" Olympics

Technology advances fatty acid control in dairy industry

Speaking at the British Cattle Breeders Conference in Telford (January 25, 2012), National Milk Laboratories' director Ben Bartlett announced two four-year projects about to start that will build up a database of fatty acide profiles in milk and lead to the development of tools to help the producers and their adviser manage fatty acid production.
